You are the best one....of the best ones........

Anyone know the song??

Ok, I'll give it to you. Dashboard Confessional - 'Stolen'
You know how a song comes around every now and then that just makes you melt every time you hear it? Well this is mine. I swear I'm going to walk down the aisle to it one day, it's just beautiful. Reminds me of happy summer days.

Speaking of which, don't you love how simple things are just the best sometimes? R and I have both been very busy of late and really haven't had a chance to spend much time together. Which makes me sad. So on a lovely sunshiny day we sat down and had coffee at a new cafe we found. Company, beautiful weather and good company. That's all it takes to make me happy. Pretty easy pleased right?

On another note. I need advice kids. I got my hair cut and coloured the other day. I am a fakie blonde and have finally found the perfect mix. So the colour is fine. But I got a fringe!! Now I have had a blunt fringe before but it always ends the same way, I let it grow out and then keep it as a side fringe. Mainly because I get sick of straightening it and degreasing it everyday. My fringe gets greasy quick :(
Here is a picture so you have an idea:

So basically, how do you blunt fringe people keep yours looking nice? So you straighten or not? Are you a dry shampoo person? Does my fringe need to be thicker? I am uncertain. I think I like the look, but it's just so hard to get it sitting properly. Hair woes here.

I am wearing a Portmans sequin long singlet and Jeanswest super skinnies. I love that top, bling but not over the top. Matte sequins are key. Oh, and don't be afraid of chain store denim!! I have never found a pair of jeans that fit me as well as those ones do from Jeanswest. Plus, they are two for $100! I think I should get more actually.

I have something else to share with you. Behold the chicken!

How awesome does that roast chook look?? Liberal amounts of butter is the secret. I have always been scared of roast chook, my Mum never cooked it so I haven't had much exposure. But when I found one for $4 I couldn't resist. I was very pleased! Plus it was super tasty, lemon and garlic up the bum kids.

I need to work on my photography skills don't I? I'm having issues because R drowned my (beautiful, perfect) camera while we were away (story for another day). So now I am stuck using his crappy one until my birthday. Which is in July. Eeep! I have requested a Panasonic Lumix of some description, that's what my last one was and it was the best. Just a little one. Any recs??

I apologise if my posts are a bit vague and sketchy. I am still getting used to this. One last question. How does one get people interested in her blog?? How do you get yourself known? I have no idea.....I feel a bit silly writing if no one is reading. Oh wells.

I am off to paint my nails. Australis Summer Lovin'. I miss summer!

I'm joining the blogosphere!

Why hello there.....

After haunting a few blogs regularly I decided, what the heck. I'm going to have my own! I told the boy who promptly replied 'Cool. What are you going to write about?'

Well, whatever I want. I love baking, so expect to see a few delicious munchies here and there. I also love decorating, but a two bedroom circa-1980's double brick apartment doesn't do me much justice. So I might not show you anything there.
I have fur babies. I will certainly show you them. Way too cute to miss any exposure.

Basically. I'm here to share my thoughts, ramblings, ideas, vents etcetera with the world. Hell. Why not?

First, let me share some of my favourite things:

My darling Sandy. She passed away on Anzac day, after being my gorgeous puppy/best friend for nearly 15 years. I love her.

One of my current fur babies. Hello Rupert!! When I left home I couldn't bear being without a fur baby to talk to (Yes, I talk to my animals). So I bought Rupert the guinea pig. He has a friend named Steak. He is black and spiky, but I don't have any good photos of him.

Breakfast food! I thought it would be a wonderful idea to have a picnic breakfast,I made the pancake mix up before we left and R drove us to a lovely National Park. This is the finished (slightly burnt) product. That is R. Hi! He makes a mean pancake, the heat on the BBQ plate was a little hard to control.

Ok. So I am no longer a blog virgin. I have to go to bed. It is late and I am an early riser by nature. I am Zumba-ing in the morning! I will return. I promise.

I know you can hardly wait.
